It's such a long time ago that I blogged.

Today I want to talk about how important it is to accept yourself but even more to love yourself.
We live in a society that profits from self doubt, and where it is a rebellious act to love yourself.
But that is just so weird! I mean, just imagine this situation:

You live in a house, with another person. That person is around you 24/7, and will always be. FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. What would you prefer? That that person loved you, hugged you and complimented you or that it would drag you down and hate you?

I think the first choice.

And you know what that person is YOU.

So now go hug yourself, smile at yourself every time you walk by a mirror or even something else you can see yourself in, and tell yourself everyday: I am good enough. I accept myself. Look at yourself in the mirror, and say (out loud): I LOVE YOU.

Maybe it feels weird in the beginning because you are used to not like yourself. Don't worry. It's normal. Society taught you to do it.
But you know, they say "fake it until you make it" and that is true. Did you know that if you are sad and if you smile then, your brain will get signals of happiness (because your mouth is in that position) and you will feel happier?

Back on topic, loving yourself is a journey and it takes time and exercise. But it will be okay, you'll get there.
